When trusting another player with access to your protections, you should also use the /t trust add <username>
command to authorize protected items fully. Failure to do so may result in no access, preventing players from using or opening protected containers. Learn more about trusting players in Towny here:
To trust a player to all of your protections, use the command /trust add <username>
, followed by the /trust confirm
or /trust deny
options to confirm or cancel the trust request.
For more granular control over access to protections, use the command /cmodify <username>
command. This command allows players to individually specify which protections they wish to share with others, such as a single chest or furnace, by simpling left-clicking on the desired protection after executing the command.
Players can also allow players to access their protections without removing items with cmodify. Here are some commands you can use:
/cmodify donation
or /cdonation
Converts your protection into a donation protection. Items can be added to protection, but cannot be taken from.
/cmodify display
or /cdisplay
Converts your protection into a display protection. Items cannot be removed or added to the protection.
/cmodify password
Converts a protection into a password-protected protection which can only be accessed with a player-set password.
/cpassword <password>
Set a password for your password-protected protections.
/cunlock <password>
When accessing a password-protected protection, left click the protection and use the command to unlock it.
/unlock
Unlocks a protection. Use when changing a password on a protection or modifying a protection's access permissions.
By default, certain types of containers and interactive blocks are automatically locked when placed, preventing unauthorized access. Here are all blocks that are automatically locked when placed:
