Fishing contests are a way for players to obtain custom fish for a chance to win prizes! The top 5 are awarded with a cash prize! You can also see your fish using /fish sell or /sf
Reminder: You can only sell CUSTOM fish using /fish sell. Vanilla fish are unsellable.
You can also access the active Fishing Contest leaderboard using /fish lb or /fs.
There are 5 distinct types of fishing contests that rotate throughout the day and last for 10 minutes on weekdays, and 15 minutes on weekends:
Most Fish Contest: Participants compete to catch the highest number of fish.
Largest Fish Contest: Participants compete to catch the fish with the largest weight.
Largest Total Contest: Participants compete to catch the largest total weights of fish.
Specific Fish Contest: Participants compete to be the first to catch a specific Special fish. (Weekend Only)
Specific Rarity Contest: Participants compete to be the first to catch 20 Rare fish. (Weekend Only)
When a fishing contest begins, a blue bar along with the name of the type of contest will appear at the top of your screen.
The /fishdex will track all your progress towards catching all 168 fish! It will give you stats such as total fish caught, your progress out of 168, how many of each rarity you've caught and more!
You will also be able to see which fish specifically you have caught so far, for each rarity:
Additionally, if you click the Statistics book in the top right of the fishdex, you will be taken to the Milestones GUI, which will show you the potential rewards and your progress:

The custom fish are categorized into different tiers, each with its own unique value:
Basic: The lowest tier, with the least monetary value.
Unusual: Slightly rarer than Basic, offering a better return when sold.
Rare: A more elusive catch, fetching a higher price.
Special: A rare and valuable fish that stands out in contests, with its custom detailed texture.
Legendary: One of the most coveted catches, known for its rarity and significant value.
Mythical: The rarest and most prestigious fish that is a part of the fishdex, the tier with the largest weight.
There are also a couple other tiers of fish that aren't tracker towards your fishdex progress, but still will be extremely valuable:
Treasure: Rarely you can fish out treasures from the sea, gifting various boosters, exclusive cosmetics and other rewards!
Shiny: Every fish has a super-rare Shiny varient, that will sell for significant value, so be sure to flex these to your friends or display them in your base!
SolaceMC also offers reedeemable special fishing contests. These items enable players to instantly initiate a fishing contest outside of the typical hourly contests, enhancing the thrill of the fishing experience!
Players can obtain this item through various channels, with the most common being through our Solstore, or through various rewards such as Voting.
